Long-distance move from Vassar, KS to West Liberty, KY

Great Movers!!

It's difficult to overcome the shifting anxiety. I was supervising the worker's work and also telling them about few belongings. They were humble and professional. The work done just on time with no damage. Thumbs up Continental Moving & Storage, great work done.

Long-distance move from Kansas to Virginia

Worst, most dishonest and most lying compay. They like to steal.

This a bad moving company. 2 boxes and 1 luggage were lost. All my furniture and appliances were damaged, 2 heater and 2 stand fans were broken and I had to throw them. Total loss and damage was more than $2000.

They offer me $1687 for door to door moving service from KS to VA and made me pay $521 advance. after few days someone called me and did charged me another $193 as adjustment( As I became their victim). Not only that, when the driver came to pick up my items they charged me more money for packing 2/3 items and carrying few things from upper level to down stair.
I paid moving cost for 3000 LB but the weight was 2489 LB. I was supposed to receive reimbursement of ($0.45*520)=$234. But never got the money back.

I called them several times but the issue never got resolved. I wish I never hired a moving company.

Official company response

Dear Sayed,

First and foremost, we would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have had using our services.

Unfortunately, when you book a move for an allotted amount of space, you do not get reimbursed if you do not use the full amount, as per the signed contract. Also, additional services like packing extra items will always come with an additional fee attached to it.

Thank you for letting us know know about your dissatisfaction. We value your feedback and are looking into this review in full. We hope to resolve it promptly and accurately. We're sorry your experience did not match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance and we promise to do better.

Please feel free reach out to ryan@continentalmove.com with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to share. We would love to make things right if you give us another chance.

Long-distance move from Port Saint Lucie, FL to Cranford, NJ

Thankful.

The guys were very professional. They only had to move bedroom furniture but it was all very heavy and it was raining the whole time. They wrapped all my pieces in thick blankets so not to damage anything. They worked together very efficiently. Very friendly guys with a great work ethic, they were thorough. I will definitely refer anyone I know moving to call Continental Moving first.

My nightmare of a move.

My move with Leadership Logistics who was contracted by Continental Moving and Storage (against my knowledge) has been a living hell.
In my previous reviews I was reserved because they still had my belongings hostage (please read the previous views). Since day one (May 17) it's been one thing after the other. Them exorting monies from me. THEY ARE SCAMMERS please heed this warning stay away from them. I just got my belongings June 12th. And I was still charged had to rent a U HAUL to retrieve my items because the driver states he couldn't drive my street. I told the driver Alexander, that there was another street to access to my house, he refused to use it. First he was saying it's an extra $595 for them to "shuttle" the items to the house, when I told him no that I will get a uhaul, he then stated will its $150 an hour for me waiting. I refused that as well. When I got there he told me I can't release your items until you pay me $250 up front (Scammers). After going back and forth with him, Diana and Fernando for two hours I went ahead and paid him $150. My kids and I been without our items for almost a month, sleeping on the floor spending monies buying fast food because our everything was in that truck. After unloading and unpacking some stuff I discovered that they had broken my furniture, glassware items was missing
They ramble through my boxes and crates stole all my jewelry, vintage coin collections stuff I can't replace that held sentimental value from my parents that passed away. Things that were engraved with names on them, my designer shades also went through my file cabinet stole my and my kids passports, checks just our identities (Yes I have pictures I will post). I am out of thousands of dollars dealing with them. I was told to file a claim and I am but I know there will be some type of fine line print and I will not be compensated. This move was supposed to be stress and Hassel free less cost efficient then doing it your self but it been a LIVING HELL. They get your money and your business and throw you to the way side. From leadership I've spoken to Diana and Fernando no help at all from Contential Moving and Storage Jim Miller and Crystal (she has been great) but there's nothing she can do, the Manager/owner Michael has NOT reached out at all to me. They don't care because it's not there items. If could rate these companies a minus 10 I would. I hired Continental Moving and Storage not Leadership logistics my job was bidded out without me knowing didn't find out until the day of the move. I moved to start a new life and got hit with this. Every box I open is a new surprise I've been crying since Tuesday, I feel so VIOLATED!! Both companies are working hand in hand with each other. SCAM ARTiSTS PLEASE STAY AWAY! If any one who read this and had it happened to you inbox me please so we can see what can be done legally about these companies raping us blind.
Very very emotional
Sharla.

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star- SUCH A SCAM BEWARE!

*My initial review I posted was taken down, so I am REPOSTING this so people can here my story!!*
PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING USING CONTINENTAL MOVING AND STORAGE FOR A LONG DISTANCE MOVE. This is the sketchiest, rudest, and most inconsiderate company I have ever dealt with. I paid this company to help me move from GA to CO. Somehow this company works with Supreme Vanlines- so beware!! I was told during my consultation that if I shipped my stuff off on Jan 21, my furniture would arrive on the date I needed it to. On Feb 1, I contacted Continental about where my stuff was. I was given another arrival date, Feb 9th. On that date my stuff STILL had not arrived. I had no idea where my stuff was. I was then given ANOTHER delivery date- Feb 15 or 16th, and it still did not show up. Legally, this company had 6-21 days to get me my stuff. I was then told by Continental Movers that Supreme Vanlines had my stuff (This was the first time I had been told another company had my belongings). This was NOT mentioned when I pad the company $1400 to move my furniture, nor was this in my paper work. The driver of supreme van lines was extremely rude when I contacted him about my arrival date. Whoever works in the booking department at Supreme in Miami hung up on me also when I tried reaching out to them. This resulted in me going to the police to file a police report, and I even considered hiring a lawyer because of the terrible and sketchy service I had received. On Feb 25, my stuff FINALLY arrived- I'm surprised they even showed up honestly. They wouldn't get my stuff out of the truck until I paid them a remaining balance- which they didn't deserve since they were 3 weeks behind on my delivery. The driver told me he wasn't "trying to fight with me" when I told him I wasn't paying more than what was on my paper work. I am missing a bed topper, a chair, and one of my tables was broken and placed in a box. DO NOT use this company unless you want missing belongings and [EDIT] customer service. Im so glad to be done dealing with these terrible people. This was a nightmare. And Never was I offered any compensation for the items that was lost and broken. You would be better off carrying your belongings on your bag than to use this company.

Long-distance move from California to Texas

Keep your $ and run away.

I hired Continental for a move from CA to TX. Received a great low cost to transport my household goods and 3 cars. Rep was extremely nice and helpful, which is just part of their tactics to get your $. Once hired, deposits paid, and quality assurance completed; it all went downhill fast. I requested and paid for an enclosed carrier for my cars, but that wasn’t communicated to the auto transport company. When it came time for my household goods to be picked up, US Movers didn’t take half the things on my inventory list Continental verified prior to pick up and the cost was the same. They took 2 bicycles (cost $1400 each) and strapped it on the back of the truck because they couldn’t figure out how to fit it in. Ever since the issues started, I have not heard back from 1 single person from Continental to help resolve issues. Time to lawyer up for breach of contract!

Good Service.

Last week my family moved from BridgePort, CT. I had connected around five moving moving companies about the move but Continental Moving & Storage give me good rates and they also prompt in their communication. On the moving day the moving team proved that they are professionals and experienced in packing and loading. They packed our all belongings in safety boxes in very well manners. All the things were kept safe while moving. They did a good job.

Long-distance move from Fort Collins, CO to Keystone, SD

Sharla, you are not alone:.

Sharla, we moved from Colorado to Keystone SD in April. We justgot our stuff- TODAY Sunday June 16th - because my husband (who is in a wheelchair) drove to a storage facility in Aurora CO - after calling the police and they talked to the driver who gave them the address - with a uhaul to get our things. there were irreplaceable items in there.broken boxes and damaged (expensive) equipment. Our things were mixed in with another family's. we opened every box to make sure it was our stuff. The driver had a "friend" oversee the transferring of our things from storage to the uhaul but we could have taken all the other boxes too. but we are not those kinds of people. we had moved most of the stuff ourselves in april and were told it would be 30 days for the other stuff to arrive and that we would get "free storage." the mover, david was hired by continental moving and we have had NO luck with Continental in trying to get this resolved. It cost us$1300.00 for the move (and we were billed twice in error, but when we disputed the 2nd charge, Continental disputed our dispute) so we paid twice for things we did not receive. my husband stayed in a hotel for two night, rented the uhaul for $750.00 paid for our friends gas, food and lodging to help him drive up back to keystone. This has been going on since april 12th and there was one excuse after another. we were alarmed when the mover said he would be there at 9:30 AM to move us, and didn't show up until 5pm. that should have been our first clue. my husband had to drive the 6 hours and was exhausted by the time he arrived. we got nothing but apologies and excuses about how broke the driver was and that he didn't have the gas money to drive up here due to the fact his account was negative $1100.00 from charge backs from other customers. two weeks ago he said he was in valentine NE- which is only 3 hours from here - and would try to make it our way and kept telling Michelle at continental "for sure, for sure I will make it." he was not truthful, and led us to believe he was on the way when he clearly wasn't and had no intention. he would continuously suggest he would be there the following week. or the next weekend. but never showed up and kept apologizing. we feel we were conned. continental are the brokers.we hired them in good faith believing they knew who was driving for them. and you're right , in the fine print, which I read after the fact, they clearly state they are not liable for lost or damaged goods and if there is a claim, we'd have to go to county court in Florida and pay half the court cost even if we won the case. Thankfully, the driver did not extort extra money from us, however we ended up paying twice anyway, once for them to move us, and the other for us to move ourselves. we're hoping at least to recoup some of these charges. hoping chase will see in favor of our disputes. would it be ok to use your review as well for our case? feel free to use ours. I can tell you more but it's too exhausting and overwhelming. i'm so sorry you had to go through this. you are not alone.
my e-mail is jmcloudrey@gmail.com and phone # 970-412-2072

I sent an e-mail to ryan who in another review stated that he would be willing to make things right:
"do you really want to make things right? Please refund our money. All of it. This has been one of the ugliest experiences I’ve even encountered. And is physical making me sick to my stomach.
We feel violated and we trusted you.
A full refund is the very least you can do. "

We'll see what happens.

Long-distance move from Washington, CT to Los Angeles, CA

Nice Job.

I was very happy that I went with Continental Moving & Storage, LLC. They were prompt in providing a quote, which was very reasonably priced, and scheduled it without any problems. The movers were on time, very friendly, polite and courteous. Wasn’t the coolest outside either and I felt so bad. But always smiling and always a great attitude they trod on. If I were you I’d go with the guys that never fail. Thank you once again.
